At first, I was afraid, I was petrified . . .

IN this day and age, safety/protection is everyone's priority!
I had my 2 doses of Covid 19 vaccine and I got Pfizer. Some of my friends were saying that I am lucky because Pfizer is better than some of the vaccines available.
So am I really safe because of the doses of Pfizer vaccines that I’ve got?
I can say I am guarded but being safe/protected is another thing. Having completed the Covid 19 vaccines somehow gave me preventive measures but it does not give me complete assurance that I will never get Covid 19 again.
Yes, you heard it right… “again”. I got hit hard and survived Covid 19 last May and spent 19 long days in the hospital. It was quite scary because it was my first time ever being confined in the hospital. Those 19 days taught me a lot and had changed me in so many ways. Complete surrender and dependence to God is the summary of it. I know it is easier said than done! But when you are fighting for things that are unseen like Covid, it is either you choose to be self-righteous or cling to someone that holds everything in HIS Hands.
For 19 days, Psalm 23 was part of my everyday routine and the verses that really helped me a lot were verses 1 and 4. Reading the Psalm of David three times a day made me realize that the source of peace, the anchor that I need and that complete protection can be found from HIM and to HIM alone. I give God all the glory and praises for this life I am enjoying now. For His Words and promises never fails!
They said that people who recover from COVID 19 produce antibodies, plus I had 2 shots of Pfizer vaccines - so I've indeed put myself in a better position! And the most important thing is that having a Shepherd like HIM that truly protects me.
PSALM 23 - A psalm of David.
1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 He refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
They comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
